14 Weeks

How far along? 14 weeks.
Baby size in fruit/vegetable: Lemon.
Total weight gain/loss: I lost one pound this week and am back at my pre pregnancy weight. Crazy because I had gained 9 pounds at this point with Hyde!
Maternity clothes? Nothing new, but ready for a new bra!
Stretch Marks? No.
Sleep: It is so hard to get comfortable at night! My hips have been killing, I feel like I'm tossing and turning all night.
Best moment this week: Seeing/hearing babies heart rate! Last Tuesday night I started heavy bleeding and it was bright red again. I was very freaked out and super nervous about the baby. I hadn't felt any movement (which wasn't un-normal) and was so relived to see that little heartbeat and that baby was doing well! My bleeding slowed down by Wednesday afternoon, but started up again Thursday afternoon. I had another ultrasound on Friday, and again, baby was just fine! I have been put on modified bed rest and now we just watch, wait, and hope for the best!
Miss Anything? I miss my memory. I feel like I am forgetting everything these days. Pregnancy brain is real!
Movement: Baby still moves the most at night. Of course now when I'm waiting for movement constantly, I feel like there isn't as much. But when I do feel movement, it's definitely getting stronger.
Food Cravings: Still not having a ton of cravings. I'll randomly crave something for like a minute, but then it passes. I have been craving candy though, mostly Laffy Taffy.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Sickness is easing up, but still hitting pretty hard at night. The days aren't too bad if I stay away from citric acid but I still feel like I have the flu most nights.
Have you started to show yet: A tiny bump.
Discomforts: Hips, acid reflux, and pressure/cramping when bleeding.
Gender prediction: Boy. I'm getting super impatient about finding out.
Labor signs: No.
Belly button in or out? Mostly in, starts to half stick out a tiny bit at night.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy and super anxious.
Looking forward to: Seeing baby at the doctor tomorrow! My anxiety would like an ultrasound every day, please!

13 Weeks

How far along? 13 weeks.
Baby size in fruit/vegetable: Peach/Length of a pea pod.
Total weight gain/loss: 1 pound gained.
Maternity clothes? Just the same, living in maternity leggings most days.
Stretch Marks? No.
Sleep: Sleeping decent and starting to feel less tired throughout the day.
Best moment this week: Seeing and feeling baby as he/she pushed out and made a tiny bump!
Miss Anything? I miss not feeling sick every night! And being able to eat!
Movement: Baby moves a lot at night, it's so fun! The other night you could actually see a tiny raised bump where the baby was sticking out.
Food Cravings: I'm really not craving much at all. Still on a salt kick most of the time and I'm more into milk lately.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Feeling really sick at night still, threw up food for the first time the other night. It feels like I have the flu every night, but days are getting a lot better as long as I don't let my stomach get empty. Hyde's diapers are still getting me, I have to wear a painters mask when I change him.
Have you started to show yet: A tiny bump.
Discomforts: Acid reflux, headaches, and hips.
Gender prediction: Boy!
Labor signs: No.
Belly button in or out? Mostly in, starts to half stick out a tiny bit at night.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Mostly happy but I can feel myself getting a little more moody.
Looking forward to: Finding out gender! I want to know NOW!!

Baby #2! -- 12 Weeks

Baby #2 is due April 25th! We are so excited and thrilled! Even though I have no idea how I'm going to do TWO babies! Hyde will turn 2 a month after baby arrives, but I still consider 2 year olds babies. It's been a rocky pregnancy so far, so I'm extremely grateful to have made it this far!

I found out I was pregnant on August 13th, not even a full two weeks after conceiving. We weren't necessarily trying, but we weren't preventing either. We knew we wanted our kids close in age, I was planning for a fall 2015 baby so we had decided we would start trying end of Novemberish. Just a week or two before I found out I was pregnant, I got really bummed and thought "dang! I wish we were having an April baby! That would have been perfect!". I thought I had missed my chance, and did not want a May baby (I can't have my kids sharing a birthday month!), a June baby, or a July baby.

I had my IUD taken out the end of June (I absolutely hated that thing! Never again.) and then decided to try the NuvaRing again, which only lasted a week. So barely a month off birth control and I got pregnant! Fertile Mertile. I was using an app to track my cycle, just so I knew what was going on, and I didn't even think I had ovulated (obviously I did). My boobs started getting a little tender and I hadn't had a period for 5 weeks (which wasn't much of a tell since I didn't think I'd even have a regular cycle for a little while). I took a pregnancy test on Sunday and it was negative, so I took an ovulation test and that was negative too. Monday my boobs were tender again so I thought I'd give the test a try again, but still negative. By Wednesday I knew something was up, so I took an ovulation test--negative. I decided to do another pregnancy test, and at the very end of the 3 minutes, the faintest line showed up! I freaked out and as soon as Hyde was up from his nap, we headed to the store to get a digital test. Sure enough, it read: Pregnant 1-2weeks. I was so excited, literally jumping up and down with Hyde yelling "we're having a baby!".  He didn't know what was going on, but he was still excited about it!

We had 3 hours until Sean would be home, and I couldn't stop pacing the whole time! I was super nervous/anxious to tell him, I knew he would be excited though. I wanted to tell him in a super cute, Pinterest way,  but didn't have the time or attention span. I ended up just having Hyde give him the pregnancy test and Sean almost put it down without even looking at it! (Hyde gives us random stuff all the time.) He got super excited and said "Are you shitting me!?".

At 7 weeks, everything was going well. We were excited, I was starting to feel sick (a good sign!), and we were heading to Tahoe! The night before we left, I started spotting. I lost it, I was so freaked out. I thought for sure I had miscarried and was devastated. I had called the doctor and they said that it wasn't uncommon to spot and to call if I saw bright red blood. 3 days into our Tahoe vacation, I started bleeding like crazy, it was bright red, and I had really bad cramping. For sure a miscarriage! I called my doctor and she had the same thoughts that it was a miscarriage and sent me to the ER for a Rhogam shot (I have O- blood). I spent 5 hours in the ER (fun way to spend the day in Tahoe!) and an ultrasound confirmed it was still a live pregnancy! I was so confused, happy, and scared. They told me it was a placenta hemorrhage (subchorionic hematoma) and that I needed to see my OB in 48 hours. That was it. They gave me the shot and I was on my way. It was really hard only having "answers" from Google.

We went to my doctor two days later and saw in the ultrasound that baby was doing just fine and had a strong, little heart beat! I was basically just told to take it easy and to call if I had any more bleeding. Three days later, I had another case of crazy bleeding and cramps, another miscarriage scare. So many ups and downs in such a little amount of time. I went in the next morning for an ultrasound, and baby was still fine! I had to take it even easier and was sent to a high risk specialist.

Anyway, to this day baby is still doing great! We've had multiple ultrasounds and each time the heart rate is perfect and baby has been moving around. I've stopped bleeding and am feeling so much better! The doctors have said that everything seems fine and expect a healthy pregnancy from here on out!

Baby at 10 Weeks.

How far along? 12 weeks.
Baby size in fruit/vegetable: Plum.
Total weight gain/loss: 1 pound gained.
Maternity clothes? Yes, maternity pants and leggings. With Hyde I made it to 11 weeks in my regular jeans, with this babe I only made it to 8 weeks :/ my hips moved quick!
Stretch Marks? No.
Sleep: Sleeping okay, it't just really hard to get comfortable. So grateful that Hyde is still (usually) taking 2 naps a day so I can too!
Best moment this week: Seeing little baby in the ultrasound.
Miss Anything? DIRTY DR PEPPER! Dang you, Swig. I also just miss being able to eat normal and not having most things make me feel sick.
Movement: Yes! Call me crazy, but I SWEAR I already felt baby move. I know I did. That little butterfly/bubble popping feeling! It's so exciting and reassuring.
Food Cravings: I don't have a ton of cravings. I'm really into salt again, just the thought of most sweets makes me sick. I want ALL the sour candy! Plain, white rice with soy sauce is my usual for dinner lately.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Just the pregnancy sickness in general. I feel sick all day and night, but nights are much worse! I get crazy bad headaches in the evening and they just make me feel like puking. I don't want to eat anything, but having an empty stomach makes it worse. And acid reflux has already started getting bad! I have random moments of feeling very faint and light headed too. I'm finally feeling like I have strength to do things again though, like even just walk or get ready.
Have you started to show yet: A tiny bump.
Discomforts: Acid reflux, headaches, and hips.
Gender prediction: Sean and I (along with most people) think it's a boy!
Labor signs: No.
Belly button in or out? Mostly in, starts to half stick out a tiny bit at night.
Happy or Moody most of the time: I think I'd have to say that I'm pretty happy (aside from feeling like crap) most of the time.
Looking forward to: Finding out what baby's gender is!
